It's official...Brody's favorite bath time toy!  Bath time is so much more fun now!! :)  Thank you Aunt Candie for my bath time toys! 

Christmas 2011

Christmas started early for the Cothren's.  We did a get together at Judd and Becky's with Brad, Kellie, and all the kids.  We had a great time.  Becky made Brisket, salad, yummy desserts, and chicken casserole (Judd, Phillip and the kids don't eat brisket :)) 

Kellie brought cheesy potatoes and cheesecake. 

I brought baked beans and homemade toffee. 

After dinner we opened presents.  The kids had so much fun!  Brody really loved the BOX that Kellie got him!  We love hanging out with the Peck's and the Maxwell's!!!

 Santa came to our house.  Brody was a very good boy as you can see!!!

 Christmas at my moms is always crazy.  Santa always goes above and beyond.  Brody could not wait to play with his wagon.  He took the gift out of the wagon so he could pull it around!

 Brody in the wagon again.  He loves it!  Can you see the sit n spin right next to the wagon?  Yep...he loved that also.  Santa brought Brookie a sit n spin!

After we left my moms we went to Grandpa's house.  (And Grandma's house)  Brody just says Grandpa's!!! :)  Brody also had a ton of toys that their house from Santa.  His all time favorite toy was his buzz chair.  He sits in it all the time! 

Monday we got up early so we could be at Candie's at 8:30.  Candie made biscuits and gravy and I made hash brown casserole.  We did a gift exchange with the girls and Brody.  I can't believe how big the girls are getting.  Bird was so excited to show me her Christmas present.  A door bell for her bedroom door.  I thought it was super cute.  She also showed me her new bike!  She was riding it in the kitchen.  Kenley is getting so big.  I love watching Brody and her grow.  It seems like yesterday! 

We love spending time with our amazing family and friends.

So I've said it before and I will say it again.  Brody and Brooklynn have a very special relationship.  I believe it's because Brookie was/is TeTe's girl when Brody was still in my belly.  She'd play the bongo's over and over again on my belly for Brody to hear.  I swear this is why they love each other so much.  

Brody and Brooklynn were playing Woody and Jessie last night.  I had to laugh.  Brooklynn is such a mother hen.  She would help fix Brody's hat.  Brody would of course tell her no and stop and Brooklynn did it anyway.  Brody finally let her help.  My little guy is so stubborn.  I hope he grows out of that soon!  I'm all about him being independent but....Good Grief!!!!

 Found out that Brody LOVES cranberry sauce.   So out of everyone in our family...Brody and Phillip are the only ones!!! 

I'm so proud of Brody.  He got to sit on Santa's lap last Friday at Bo's Holiday Party.  Brody was so big.  I was standing close by because I was waiting for the full blown freak out from Brody.  He's pretty good about going to other people...NOT!!!  It takes him a while to warm up.  Brody gave Santa high five and knuckles.

Thanksgiving Weekend!!!

 Thanksgiving was rough.  The entire family was sick.  In fact, dad never came out of the bedroom on Thanksgiving.  Scooby had to carve the turkey!  It went pretty well!  Besides the turkey was HOT!!! :)  Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Tom came over.  This is starting to be a tradition.

 Brody loved the Christmas Tree.  He liked taking the ornaments off the tree better then putting them on!!!!

 My little artist.  Brody really loves to color!  We played games at my moms on Saturday night.  Brody colored while we played catch phrase! Good time!

This makes me smile just thinking about how excited the kids were to play in the kennel!!!  :)

Great weekend turned into one long Sunday!

All the girls and Brody got together Saturday night for dinner and a movie.  I was worried about Brody because he was acting so crazy at dinner.  We drove ourselves to the movies because I wasn't sure how long Brody would last.  Bennett rode with Brody and I.  Brody kept saying Bennett all the way to dinner.  It's cute how much he loves her!  The movie was great and Brody did awesome.  He didn't cry once.  He sat on my lap the entire time.  He fell asleep about an hour into the movie. I'm so proud Brody did so great at his first movie in the movie theatre. 

 AND THE MOVIE WAS....PUSS IN BOOTS!!!!! 

 Brody had his second wind and ready to play with the girls after the movie.  Brooklyn got to ride back with us since Bennett rode there.  Brody again kept saying Brooklyn.  It's crazy how much he loves these girls!  They play so well together.  We played until we could not play anymore.  11:30 and Brody was ready for bed.  He was getting pretty crabby so it was time for us to go home!  What a great girls night and Brody! :) 

Brody got up Sunday morning ready to play.. acting normal!  He went down at 11:00 so we was well rested before we went the Bennett's soccer game.  Brody work up at 1:00.  I put him in his high chair for lunch when it all started.  Brody threw up 16 times from 1:30 to 8:00

I called the doctor and they told me the first 4 hours is the worst.  We waited as long as we good before finally making the decision to go to Children's Mercy. 

 

We finally took him to Children's Mercy at 8:00 last night.  All Brody wanted to do was hold my hand the whole way to the hospital!  They gave Brody a pill that kicked in right away.  Brody got to drink grape powerade...which he loved and the doctors would only let him have one syringe full every 5 minutes.  Brody was not happy.  He cried the entire 5 minutes. 

The ride home was better then the ride there.  We had our bucket just incase Brody had to get sick again. 

The next morning....Brody was happy to be home with Daddy because Mommy had to work.  Brody is laying with his good friend Buzz!  I'm sure he will get to watch Toy Story 3 all day today!!!! :)
