Brody's 1st Royals Game!

Brody's first Royals game was as success.  He did great.  I took plenty of snacks to keep Brody occupied.  Daddy and I took turns walking with Brody during the game.  They did fireworks after the game and Brody sat in my lap during the entire show.  I closed his ears during the grand finale just because of all the booms back to back to back.  No crying from Brody!

Outside enjoying the weather!

We really have been enjoying this amazing weather. It's June 23rd and we are outside until dark playing!
Bo never gets in the wagon.  In fact, if you put him in the wagon he will start crying.  For some reason Bo wanted to be in the wagon last night.  So we thought...who gets out.  Nobody gets out.  All three kids stayed in the wagon while Big John took them for a ride.  Bo was all over the place.  He was on Brody's lap then Brookie's lap.  He'd stand up for a little bit because Brody and Brooklynn would not let him sit long.  Brody and Brooklynn finally got out of the wagon so Bo could have the wagon to himself!

We had a great time playing with Brooklynn and Bo last night!

The kids also played with papa in the hose.

Wordless Wednesday

Monkey!!!

I'm not sure how B got so big so quick!  What happened to my little boy!  Brody is all over the place.  He climbs and hangs on anything and everything.  I see stitches in our future!  The last few days he's started hitting and biting.  I sure hope I can get this under control.  He had to sit in timeout twice last night!

Children's Mercy no Children's Mercy

Yesterday Brody was playing in yard with all the kids.  He was walking back and forth on the sidewalk.  I was standing as close to him as possible without holding his hand.  Mr. Independent would not have it.  Next thing I knew, Brody fell hard on the concrete.  I picked him up as quickly as possible.  He was moving his head back in forth and screaming so loud.  I finally got to see the damage.  All I could see was blood coming out of his nose.  I held him as close to me as I could.  He finally let me put a rag to his nose to clean up the blood.  He sat in my lap for about 15 minutes until the pain went away.  He got down and went directly to the sidewalk again.  He got right to the spot where he fell down and started crying again.  Dang sidewalk!!!    I'm calm about it now but yesterday I kept telling Phillip...Let's just take him to Children's Mercy!

Preparing for major flood.

Last night we went down to Parkville to see all the preparation for the big flood.  The flood is supposed to happen next weekend.  I wonder if the City of Parkville has had enough time to prepare.  The pictures do not tell a story in this case.  You have to see it to believe it.   I hope that the flood is not as bad as they say.   We walked over to the river to see it moving so fast.  I can't imagine what next week will bring.

Another long weekend!

The weekend started early for Brody and I because I was off.  We got to The Peck’s around 10 ish!  Brody would not leave Brooklyn alone.  He was kissing her all over.  We spent the rest of the day at Paradise Park.  This park was inside and just perfect for Brody.  Brody got to play in balls, super market, pizza shop, water room, and many more.  He ran around most of the time.  He definitely enjoyed himself!  He loves hanging out with the girls!  I have to say…so do I!!!!

Friday night Phillip played ball so it was just Brody and I hanging out.  I was cooking dinner when I walked into the living room and he was climbing on the xbox.  I’m sure he didn’t learn that from my mom who was helping Brody climb on and off the couch!

Brody eating his very own breakfast burrito!  He's getting so big!!!

Saturday morning we ran around all day with Mamoo, Papa, Leksi, and Lulu.  In the afternoon we went to the pool.  Brody did great!  He would not leave my side at the very beginning.  At the end he was walking in the water all by himself.

Sunday we had Johnny and Cody’s birthday dinner.  All the guys played basketball while the kids raced on the slip-n-slide.  I even got on there.  I’m way too old to slip-n-slide.  Brody was playing on the basketball court like he always does.  He likes to be in the center of everything.  The ball came down and hit him on the back of the head.  He fell down and hit his month on the driveway.  I felt terrible.  I can’t believe I let that happen.    His battle wounds are not bad.  It’s sounds worse then it really was.

Sunday night B and daddy were eating lucky charms.  Boy does he love lucky charms.  He could not get a bite quick enough!
