Meet the Teacher

We walked into Mrs. Schultz classroom this morning and you would've never thought Brody had missed one day of school during summer! :)   He was right back in his normal routine. We walked up to Mrs. Schultz to hand her a picture he had colored at Mrs. Sheryl's.  He then went straight for the toys!  Brookie was across the hall meeting her teacher Mrs. B.  Brookie walked across the hall to be with Brody!  They are going to have so much fun this year.  One last year of preschool!  Oh my gosh!  I can't believe it!

We took Brody to a late breakfast after meet the teacher.  My baby is getting so big!  He told Phillip and I that he wished he didn't have a mommy or daddy.  I asked him why, he said because he could say bad words.  What???  We were cracking up!  Were do kids come up with this stuff?  Love you Brody!!!

Wordless Wednesday!!!

First weekend of baseball!

Coach Jeff Jenkins called us last week to ask us if Brody could play on their team.  He knows that Brody is younger than everyone else, but Phillip and I are both athletic so Brody will do just fine! (Those were Jeff's words! :) )  Phillip and I were so excited for the game.  We showed up early to find out that Jimmy Hollingsworth and Joey Jenkins kids also play on the team.  It was a great reunion for the boys daddy's.  This momma was a little nervous.  I wasn't sure how Brody would react to paying coach pitch.  He's only played one season of T-ball.  My little guy walked up to the plate like he had played this game 100 times before!  John Jenkins his pitching.  He's razing Brody a little bit.  He was asking me if he should push Brody off the plate!  We were all cracking up!  Then it happened.  My boy got a hit!  This mommy teared up instantly!  I was so proud of B!  Brody also fielded a couple balls!  Brody got up a second time and got another hit!  What can I say...he's a natural!

Brody had another game on Sunday.  This day wasn't as successful.  We had a birthday swimming party and Johnny's baseball game before Brody's game.  PLUS...it was HOT HOT HOT and we had quite the crowd Sunday!!!   Brody wanted to play in the dirt and eat bubblegum!  He did go 2 for 3 at the plate!  This is my competitiveness kicking in and wanting my 4 year old to perform!!!!  We are excited again for practice tonight!!!  We have another game Thursday night at 6:00! :)

Fun Fact Friday!!!!

Gracy took 5 steps last night at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  Things are about to get real!

Funny Friday

Brody, Gracy and I were on our way to Mrs. Sheryl's and he did not want to listen to the radio. I asked him what he wanted to talk about.  He said, "Let's talk about colors."  I asked him what his favorite color was.  He asked me to ask Gracy what her favorite color was first....so I pretended to be Gracy and said, "my favorite color is purple."  Brody said his favorite colors are, orange, purple, purple, and blue.  (All the colors of the ninja turtles)  He then asked me what car was my favorite color.  We asked Gracy, and Brody said in his best Gracy voice, my favorite car is green.  Brody said his favorite was blue.  He also asked if he could drive a green truck at 15, if he would be a giant at 15, and if he would fit in the truck. (Giants don't fit in trucks)  He told me that Gracy asked if she could ride with Brody once we was 15.  I told him sure!  He asked me when I was going to be a kid, so we could drive me around!  (That made me tear up!)

Love all your stories bub!!!
