What a great night!  I had never been to a game and really wanted to take Brody.  I just knew he would do awesome!  He was fine until 1/2 time!  I'm so happy my phone was charged because the whole second 1/2 Brody watched the Wizard of Oz on my phone! :)  All and all he did ok.  I pictured it differently in my head!  Thank you Becky for the invite! 

Bonus...it was also Kelli's Birthday! 

Thankful Thursday!

I'm thankful that I have the greatest kid ever!  I love that he has so much energy and loves to run just as much as I do.  Last weekend and the beginning of this week have been crazy.  We've gone nonstop.  Soccer practice, birthday party, Sporting KC game, 2 baseball games and yet Brody has done awesome.  I'm pretty sure Brody hit a road block.  Daddy woke Brody up this morning and he was still tired.  In fact, he told me he was tired.  6:50 this morning and we were out the door ready or not.  Brody had to be a daycare and I had to go to work.  Brody and I ususally talk all the way to daycare.  We talk about the color of the cars, the trees, the train that he sees almost every morning.  Not this morning.  Brody got in the car and went right back to sleep.  Tonight we do NOTHING!  Brody needs a break!  Love you buddy!

Kenley's Birthday Party at Deanna Rose!!!

Sunday we headed out to Deanna Rose for Kenley's 2nd birthday party.  Deanna Rose is always a good time for the kids!  Even a little rain didn't stop the kids!  Happy Birthday Kenley!  Thank you for letting us share the day!

Brody's 2 Year Dr. Appointment

Brody had a 9:00 Dr. Appointment with Dr. Nelson.  Brody is not a big fan of Dr. Nelson's so I tried to prep him as much as possible.  Brody walked into the doctors office like he owned the place.  He ran right over to the toys and played while I checked us in.  Brody was saying all of his colors to the little boy next to him.  We were sitting in a room waiting for Dr. Nelson while Brody talked about all the cars in the parking lot.  He said all the cars were leaving and going to Becky's!  My kid is so funny!   Dr. Nelson came in to check Brody's hears, head, belly, toes, chest, and heart.  Brody sat still the entire time.  He even told Dr. Nelson that he could hear the baby crying.  Dr. Nelson was very pleased with Brody's progress.  He said he is very smart and can't believe how well Brody talks.  He also can't believe that Brody is playing soccer.  Dr. Nelson also told me about things that come with 2 year olds.  Like poison control is very important at the age of two.  He also told me that Brody can have peanut butter and honey.  I still don't love this idea.  We shall take it slow.  Dr. Nelson and I also talked about the potty.  He is not worried about Brody not being potty trained.  He said I would know when Brody was ready.  He also said not to push the issue until 3 years old.

Brody can say all of his colors.
He can say his ABC's all by himself.
He can count to 14 all by himself.  He jumps to 17 after 14! 
He can shoot a basketball.
He can hit a ball off a tee.
He can kick a soccer ball and score a goal.
He can hit a golf ball
He can pop bubbles with his nose.
He can tell you all of his body parts including his boobies! 
He can jump.
He can tell me all about school and who he played with that day. 

Brody is so big.  I can't believe all of the things he can do!  Our little guy is growing up so fast!

We are so proud of the little boy you've become!  Mommy and daddy love watching you grow and look forward to the new things you will do everyday! 

For instance...Brody put his fingers in his ears last night and said...."I'm not listening"  We had to laugh!!!
