Happy Birthday Baylee!!!

Saturday was spent with Baylee for her 8th birthday.  The morning started with breakfast.  Next we had to be at Sugar and Spice for mani, pedi, facial, hair, and makeup.  We stopped by Chipotle for a small lunch.  Then we went shopping on the plaza before our 5:00 reservations at The Melting Pot.  I had never been to the Melting Pot.  Dessert was delicious and I would definitely go back!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAYLEE!!!!

2nd Vacation Day!!!

Friday morning Candie, Kenley, Brody and I went to the Dinosaurs Exhibit!  We had a great time at the exhibit.  I've wanted to take B there for a while, but I wasn't sure if he would be afraid of the dinosaurs.  As you can see...He was not afraid!!!  Kenley and B were all over the place.  Brody and Kenley colored.  They dug for fossils.  They colored again.  They went down the slide.  They sat next to each other for a picture.  They played with the little dinosaurs together!

The dinosaur exhibit was not as big as I thought it would be so we had to come up with more to do.  Kaleidoscope was closed, so we took a walk upstairs to the crayola store for the kids to color again.  We left the crayola store to do a little shopping then lunch!
I'm pretty sure we played at Chick-Fil-A for 2 hours.  I'm not sure if the kids or the adults had more fun playing!  My two days of vacation were a success.  I can't wait to do it again soon!!!
WHERE IS THE CHOCOLATE MILK KENLEY!!! :)  This picture cracks me up!!!

Vacation Days!

Thursday September 6th = days of fun!  I was desperate to take a few days off to spend with Brody.  I try to take off as many days as possible just to have that extra time with him that he deserves!  Thursday and Friday were completely booked as soon as I took the days off.  I wanted to do as much as possible with Brody all packed in two days.  Thursday morning started with a trip to the Topeka Zoo!  Carolyn, Brookie, Bo, Luke, Hannah, Brody, and I all got in the car and headed out!  The trip is only an hour long.  All of the kids were great! The Zoo was empty which worked out perfectly for us.  The kids got to run around the entire time at the zoo.  We were able to spend as much time as we wanted at each exhibit.  Brody loved seeing all the animals.  The zoo was small but not too small for 3 two year olds!  I asked him later what is favorite part about the day was and he said the monkeys!

Brody loved this bird.  The bird would talk to Brody and Brody would talk right back.  The bird would scream and Brody would scream at the bird.  It was really cute!  Bo even jumped in with the conversation!

Oh how we loved the elephant!
The boys loved the lion.  Brookie was not a fan.  Luke had to take her for a walk while the boys watched the sleeping lion...Or Simba (Which is what Brody called him) The lion would lifted it's paw and the boys would crack up!

Brody telling me to come on.  "Come on mommy, lets go see the monkeys"

 Brody's zebra...I mean giraffe!!!

The zoo ended with a nice refreshing drink!  All the kids got one.  Brody and Bo switched.  B really wanted the elephant and Bo wanted the Monkey!!!
Left to Right...Luke, Brookie, Hannah, and What happened to B? :)

Crib to Big Boy Bed!

Phillip and I have been talking about taking Brody out of his toddler bed for sometime now.  Friday night we got home around 8:00.  Daddy converted the bed into a big boy bed!  Brody and I sat in his room and talked about his big boy bed.  I told him that we sleep in our big boy bed.  I told him that we do not jump in our big boy bed.  He wanted to lay in his bed right away.  He also wanted to jump in his bed.:)  Brody grabbed Buzz and Woody and started playing with them in his bed.  I just knew this was going to be too easy!  I asked Daddy to run and get a night light.  I wanted to make sure there was some light in Brody's room just in case he gets up in the middle of the night.  Daddy came home with a light that changed 7 different colors.  We plugged the light in and Brody started jumping up and down.  He started screaming...MY DREAM LIGHT MY DREAM LIGHT!  Brody has been talking about Brooklyn's dream light since her birthday in July.  I have one ordered but it has not arrived yet.  I can't wait to see his face when he gets the real dream light!  This is a moment I will always always always remember.

This is B sound asleep in his big boy bed!  I love that I have a video monitor that I can watch him at all times!
Sunday morning B got up at 5:00 am.  He got up and started crying.  I jumped out up and looked at the monitor.  Brody was not in the monitor.  Daddy ran downstairs to see what was going on.  Brody was sitting next to his dream light with his pillow and blanket.  He told daddy that he was waiting on Red and wanted a cup of milk!  LOL!!!  Love him!

All and all...Brody did great this weekend.  He slept in his bed all weekend and even took naps in his big boy bed.  He climbs in bed all by himself and tells us goodnight.  I can't believe how big he is getting.

Brody...Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you.  Thank you for making this whole process easy for mommy.
