Ear Infection????

I took B to the doctor today because I just knew he was sick. 

Heck no....my baby is just fine infact he's never been better.  How can this be?  I was sure he had an ear infection.  That would be the only explanation as to why he's not sleeping at night.  I don't mind losing sleep especially when I know Brody is sick.  He's not freaking sick.  He just wants his mom.  This is my favorite part about being a mom.  I just wish Brody acted like this during the day and not at night.  Mom is running out of gas.  I really need Brody to start sleeping through the night.  Phillip tries to help but Brody wants nothing to do with him.  Dr. Nelson said some kids go through this.  Let's hope it doesn't last long.  Brody loves his own space and so do I. 

I take a pic of Brody every time I go to the doctor.  We are blessed because so far Brody has only come down with Croup.  Every other time he goes to the doctor it's because I'm crazy!  :)  I DIDN'T TAKE A PIC THIS TIME.  I'm just sick about it.  Dr. Nelson only says good things about Brody.  He says how much he loves his eyes and how he is such a good boy.  Brody is really starting to recognize Dr. Nelson and cries when he walks into the room.  I crack up because Brody is not a kid that cries much!  Dr. Nelson tells Brody every time that they will be best friends at age 3! 

Still not sleeping at night.

Which is why he's so tired during the day.  Mommy loves you Buddy!!!!

What happens between 12:30 and 5:30 am?

Last night was not a good night for Brody and I.  Brody went right to sleep at 8:00 last night.  He was sound asleep until 12:30.  I got up and patted his back for a little bit until he fell back to sleep.  He got up again at 2:30 and was up for the rest of the night.  He wasn't running a fever but you could tell that something was wrong.  We laid on the living room floor until 4:30.  I tried everything.  Every time I would lay him down he would cry.  I finally took him upstairs with me at 5:00.  All he wanted to do was cuddle with me.  He was laying on my chest with his head tucked in my neck.  I couldn't help it.  I let him lay there until he finally fell asleep at 5:30.  Phillip was a big helper this morning.  He took Brody to Mimi's so I could get a little sleep.  I did sleep from 7-8.  I had to shower and get to work.  I thought I would stop in and check on Brody before I went to work.  He was in the best mood.  I'm not sure why since he had to be exhausted.  I felt him again to make sure he was not running a fever.  That's when I felt his gums and WE HAVE A BUMP!!!!   Yippee!  I hope this tooth comes soon because I can't function without at least a couple hours of sleep! 

Mimi called and said Brody was running a slight fever and asked if she could give Brody some Tylenol.  I said of course and Thank you for calling me first!

Family Day!!!

Phillip and I took the day off yesterday to hang out with Brody.  We had the whole day planned.  It's started Tuesday night when we took Brody to Picture People to get his 8th month pictures taken.  He was a ham like I knew he would be. 

 Wednesday morning started a little earlier then I'd hoped.  I was really thinking Brody would sleep in for us.  We started playing at 5:00 am.  That was fine with me because Brody was so happy.  He went back to sleep at 6:00 and got up again at 7:00.  We had breakfast (Pancake and banana) and played some more.  Brody and daddy were playing in the tent while I put all his clothes away.  It's really sweet to hear Phillip talk to Brody.  He talks to him like a big kid!  He's cute!!! :)  Brody needed another nap before we made our way to Monkey Bizness. 

Monkey Bizness was not a hit this time.  Brody was the only baby there and didn't have anyone to harass.  We didn't stay all morning like I thought we would.  We still had fun he just needed more people to play with.






We left Monkey Bizness and went straight to Salty Iguana.  We wanted to get everything done before the snow came.  Lunch was delicious.  Brody loves beans.  He was eating them like crazy. 

Overall we had a wonderful family day!
