Biggest weekend so far!

The weekend started off Friday night with no pacifier.  I thought this weekend was a great weekend to try to get rid of the pacifier.  I didn't realize how easy it really was.  (Thus far) 

Brody woke up Saturday morning and we played until it was time for daddy to leave for his ball tournament.  Brody and I hung out at my moms most of the night.  We ran a few errands Saturday night.  My dad and sister said they would keep an eye on Brody.  I was only gone for maybe 10 minutes when I got a call from my dad that said..Brody walked down the hallway.  My dad likes to joke around a lot so I knew he was pulling my leg.  Lisa got on the phone and said you better check your phone I just sent you a video.  She told me to hurry up because she sent the same video to Phillip.  I looked down at my phone and it said DADDY!!! Oh crap...He's already calling about the video.  I answered the phone and all he said was Really...I told him not to get excited.  I also miss Brody walking down the hallway.  He was so upset that he missed it!  I couldn't believe I missed it either! 

Saturday night was a long night for me.  Phillip was out of town.  I was going to stay the night at my moms but decided that I was a big girl now and that I could stay home alone with Brody.  Leslie came up to the house to make sure I made it in ok.  Caroyln came up a little later to watch a little TV.  Brody went to bed at 8:30 and I went to bed shortly after that.  My ringer was down but laying right next to my head.  I made sure I had it right next to me because I knew Phillip would be calling.  I woke up to the dogs barking.  I started to panic.  I jumped out of bed.  I heard a knocking at the door.  I reached for my phone that was ringing and saw that it was my mom.  My mom said don't panic it's just dad knocking at the door.  She asked me if I was ok.  I said yes I'm fine.  I'm sleeping.  She told me that Phillip had been trying to get a hold of me for over an hour.  I got off the phone with my mom and called Phillip immediately.  Phillip knows how nervous I am to stay at home alone.  Let's just say that after talking to Phillip in between games I could not go back to sleep.  We talked again at 4:00 am and again at 6:00.  He finally got home around 7:30.  I was so happy to have him back home!  

Brody woke up Sunday morning again with no Pacifier and now he had his 2nd tooth!!!   That means Brody took 10 steps, got his 2nd tooth, and got rid of his pacifier all in one weekend.  Brody is such a trooper!  I'm not sure how long the pacifier will last especially since we are going out of town!  We will keep our fingers crossed that he does awesome!

9 Month Check!

Really...my baby boy is already 9 months old.  We went to the doctor yesterday.  Brody did not have to get shots.  They did have to prick his finger.  He was a champ...no tears!  I talked to Dr. Nelson about all my concerns.  I love how he takes the time to answer all my silly questions.  We talked about giving Brody whole milk in his sippy cup!  Yep...whole milk.  He said I could start the transition now if I want.  We will start slow and see where that gets us.  He told me that I could let Brody cry for an hour or two at bed time.  I said WHAT!!!!  NO WAY!!!! Not gonna happen!  Ever!!!! Brody Weighed 19 lbs 4 oz. 28 inches long.  He's losing weight because he's so active which is very common!  Brody is doing everything on the chart like he should be then some! 

30th Birthday Party!

I'm not sure where to begin.  I don't like surprises.  I don't like being the center of attention.  I do like hanging out with my friends and family.

I got to Carolyn's Saturday about 5:45.  I showed up in Jeans and a t-shirt.  Carolyn was like...you are not wearing that.  I really didn't care what I looked like because I was going to have a good time and dance.  Carolyn spent the next hour trying to find the perfect outfit for me.   Everyone started showing up around 6:45.  (Becky, Leslie, Carolyn, Lisa, Danielle, Cortnee, Candie, Royal, and Courtney)   I think everyone was just as excited as me to go out.  Judd showed up with the girls and Sampson.  I said hello to Sampson then out the door I went to see the girls.  I received one big hug from Bennett and another from Brooklyn.  We sat and talked for a couple of minutes until it was time to go.  Judd and I shared one of our many conversations...you've changed...blah blah blah.  I looked at the Hummer Limo that was sitting in front of my moms house and thought, "Wow, someone is going to have a great time."  I had no idea the Hummer was for me!!!!   Everyone started walking over to the Hummer and started to get it.  Again I was like this is so cool!  We are going to have a great time.  How come know one asked me to pitch in money for the Hummer.   We all got settled in, got our drinks, turned on the ipod and off we went to dinner.  Lisa said Happy Birthday!  WTF…really…is this a joke!  I was so surprised.  I could not believe they got me.  I could not believe this was the first of many surprises.  We arrived at Hamburger Mary’s.  We weren’t able to sit all together but it was fine.  Dinner was delicious.  The Bomb Pop Martini was yummy!  I love Martinis!  Thanks to Leslie for paying my tab!  Lisa called Chris (Curtis hehehehe) and told him we are ready to be picked up.  We left the restaurant in a Hummer Limo to kill some time before we made it to our final destination…Denium Diamonds.  We had the best time in the Limo.  We were all dancing. Courtney was the DJ.  She did awesome!  Good thing Candie had her Ipod!!!  I’m not sure Becky knew what she was getting herself into, but I’m so glad she came!!  J   I’m pretty sure we would’ve been just fine in the limo for the rest of the night.  Curtis had to make 2 stops.  One stop for beer and one stop to potty!  We got to Denium and Diamonds around 10:00.  Lisa kept telling Carolyn to fix my hair and give me lip gloss…alright already.  We all walked in where the rest of my family and friends sat waiting for us at the Bar.  I was so surprised.  I can’t even explain how surprised I was.  I don’t remember who I saw first or last I just know that there were so many people there.  Kelly G…ahhh Kelly G and William.  I’m so glad they made it to the party.  I love and miss her so much!   I saw my husband standing next to Judd.  Really.  I’m not sure if I was shocked because my husband was in a bar of because I couldn’t believe how good they got me.  I gave Phillip a kiss and said where is our son?  He said he had it all taken care of.  I really had the best time!  Thank you to everyone for making my 30^th Birthday special! 

Brody being a boy!!!

Brody, Phillip, and I had the best time last night.  We started by eating dinner out with Leslie, Scooby, Baylee, and Nathan.  We went to Kohl's to get Brody summer clothes for Mississippi then home to play for a little bit.  I was in Brody' room putting his clothes up when Phillip yelled at me to come into the living room.  Brody and Phillip were paying cars.  Brody had one car and Daddy had the other car.  Brody would crawl is car into Daddy's car and they would crash.  He did it over and over and over again.  I was cracking up.  I hurried up and got the camera so I could capture a few pictures of Brody being so big. 

Playing with the cars was getting old they they decided to climb the stairs.  Again I grabbed the camera.  I stood at the top of the stairs and Daddy stood behind Brody while he climbed the stairs.  I could not take the pictures quick enough, Brody was flying up the stairs.  All I could think to myself was, "How did you get so big so fast."  The faster Brody would crawl the more he would talk.  He got louder and louder and louder.  It was too late to grab the video camera, which was fine because I will never forget that moment! 

I'm still in shock that my baby boy is going to be 9 months old tomorrow.  We love you Brody!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

So much is going on with Brody lately that I feel like I have to blog everyday just to keep up.  Brody is feeling much better this week.  He was sick Thursday 02/10/2011.  He was throwing up everything he ate.  This was going around the whole family and I'm glad everyone is well again. 

Brody has been crawling around like crazy.  He's so big now that he crawls into the hallway and stands at the gate going up the stairs.  I hide behind the couch while he crawls as fast as he can to me just so I jump out and say RRRRRR!!!!  We also like to crawl towards each other.  I will crawl over him while he crawls under me.  He gets the biggest kick out of that! 

So the biggest part of this weekend was when Brody stood all by himself.  Phillip and I were both staring at each other.  Brody sat down when all he heard was Mommy and Daddy screaming with excitement!  I just feel like he will be walking before we know it.

DIAPER RASH!

Brody may have a little bug since he's had so many dirty diapers the last couple of days.  I got him home and gave him a bath.  I let him crawl around for about 30 minutes with no diaper on.  He did pee once.  Phillip and I just sat there and cracked up while Brody was peeing so hard on my leg! 

The relationship between Brookie and Brody

I was late to work this morning because I could not stop watching Brookie and Brody go back and forth.  I knew they'd always has a special relationship.  When I was pregnant Brookie would lay on my bell while Brody would kick her over and over and over again.  She loved it.  Now that Brody is getting bigger the relationship continues to grow. 

I left the room for only seconds to come back to Brookie and Brody playing peak-a-boo.  I couldn't stop watching.  Brookie walked over to Brody sat right next to him and proceeded to have a baby conversation.  Brody would take Brooklynn's blanket and Brooklynn would take it back.  Brooklynn would lay on her blanket and Brody would lay right next to her.  Brooklynn would even give her blanket to Brody.  Then Brody took her pacifier.  Oh how I love community pacey!!!!  I love watching the two of them enter act.  Bo is a little more aggressive.  He doesn't know his own strength.  He was still sleeping this morning, so he did not get to join in.  Had he been awake I'm sure this post would be different!  :) 

The 3 blankets are very special to all 3 babies.  Good thing they all have their own color.
